On the 25th and 26th of September 2017 the Open Source Backup Conference on BAREOS takes place in Cologne. A few tickets are still available for the conference, which focuses on data backup with open source software.
The new Bareos 16.2 maintenance version contains improvements and bugfixes. Subscription customers can find installation packages for Windows and all supported Linux distributions in their repositories. The source code is, as always, available on GitHub.

The "Open Source Backup Conference" (former: "Bacula Conference") takes place at Wednesday, September 25th 2013 in Cologne (Germany). The conference is about different Open Source backup solutions, especially Bareos and Bacula Community Edition.
The project has released version 12.4.3 of Bareos, there are installer packages for Windows available as well as rpm / deb packages for all major Linux distributions, including the fresh OpenSuse 12.3. After a 2 months beta-phase there have been many tests and 2 pilot customers have been successfully running the beta in a productive environment.
