The first opsi client management conference will take place in Mainz on March 6th and 7th, 2018. Bareos will be represented at the conference as a technology partner and will contribute to the programme with a talk on the integration of Bareos and opsi. The event will also focus on opsi 4.1 and the community process. In lectures and workshops, participants can make themselves familiar with the basics of OPSI, learn about advanced applications or take up best practice recommendations.
Since 2013, the Bareos Windows client has also been offered as an OPSI package to enable system administrators to easily roll out and manage Bareos installations. Since both OPSI and Bareos require information about the client computer's environment, it is possible to configure Bareos automatically on the basis of the information available in OPSI. Thus, an OPSI system administrator can easily and centrally manage his OPSI environment and add a backup solution for all systems.
